figment: A treewoman, a dryad, her arms are branches (treewoman)
Thanks, guys. I appreciate the reality check. :}

I feel better today, at least. Last night I did go to the gym and didn't push myself, just swam for a half-hour, which was what I had time for. Even though I can get bored swimming, it usually improves my emotional state, and it did last night.

When I came home, I did some paperwork, because [livejournal.com profile] alisgray and her man J are going to be our new neighbors! And I am the closing agent for that. Exciting!

[livejournal.com profile] azure_armand made a really great curry dinner and we had pie and I slept well last night.

I still have a packed schedule for the rest of the week, which can be stressful, but it's basically all good stuff so hopefully it'll balance. And I did find a little time I can plan to carve out for myself. Phew.

Also...

That T-rex I made? The one I posted about the other day? As I mentioned, he was for a colleague of mine whose kid recently had brain surgery. The T-rex was delivered on Monday.

I got this from my colleague on Tuesday:

Subject: you should have seen...
[child]'s eyes light up when I gave him the dinosaur yesterday.

His quote was, "It's my favorite, the teeth one!" Thanks a lot- that was super nice, and super creative- love it!

And today (after I said I was glad he liked it and hoped everyone was doing well):
he is doing really well.

last night in bed he called me in and said, "I need that special dino. the one the lady at your work made."

I sometimes think the best part of making things is peoples' reactions to them. What a wonderful reward.
