I know, how crazy was that!? And very very sad. I will be interested to see what changes get made and how soon. At least one of the articles mentions that the trains were recommended to be replaced. Heck, there were huge pushes to get a full overhaul over 3 years ago. YIKES. It is really really sad that it takes something this tragic to kick people into motion...and even then I have my doubts. We'll see. =o/ I'm so glad I ride the Orange line...
My son says, "That's my line and I always ride in the end cars." A mother does not need to hear that. However, he says he'll be in the middle cars today.
I'm more cynical. I am more interested in IF changes will get made, and suspect that even if they do it will simply be to add more regulations without providing the funding/manpower necessary to make sure the regulations are enforced.
It's a very sad fact of our world that a certain number of human lives are considered expendable in order to maintain a budget.
