I'd be all for a July trip to Easter Island in 2010. Summer in the South Pacific sounds quite nice.
In reality it's the 2017 (http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/SEgoogle/SEgoogle2001/SE2017Aug21Tgoogle.html) eclipse that I'm most hopeful about. Kentucky sounds a lot easier to get to.
