Waterproofing - it should at least accept Scotchgard. Maybe the "Heavy Duty Water Repellent (http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Scotchgard/Home/Applications/Apparel/Do-It-Yourself/Heavy_Duty_Repellent/)"? It's washable, as I think I mentioned. The outer material is called suedecloth, if that helps.
