figmentI finished the stressful work thing before I left.
I went on my very short trip, which had no problems.
The funeral was sad, but I did at least get to see family. I hope the next occasion is happy!
Coming back I managed to get an earlier flight and a free upgrade! That was nice.
Almost as soon as I got back, our houseguests arrived. They are good friends, and it is really fun to see them, and I am glad they are here. However, I have to admit, I wish the timing had worked out differently. I was not really aware of how much energy I'd still be putting into Burning Man prep at this point, and of course didn't anticipate the whole funeral trip.
I have been able to have some fun with those guys - we went to the beach, and to Minnehaha Falls, and so on. Good stuff. And to Alis & Jon's housewarming.
And I've gotten some more planning done, and prep for the trip. It'll all come together. But man I'll be glad when we hit the road and I don't have to plan any more!!

Now I have to wrap up some other work stuff so it doesn't dangle while I'm gone... what fun.
