In my ongoing May fitness reboot, I did yoga at home yesterday for a half hour, and I went to the gym today and did the elliptical and weights and a few other things for about an hour.

I am sore today, but feel good in general.

How are you?

Jen and I went for a long, brisk paced walk yesterday. Feeling a little sore in the knees today, but that's not exactly new or unusual.

Good for you!

I am still recovering from my epic century ride Sunday. And from the nasty back strain the Monday before. Massage today helped but did not relieve the aches completely. We'll see what a weekend of stretching and a gentler workout routine next week do.

I can hardly imagine doing a century ride. I'm very impressed and think you deserve to have some time recovering!!

I have my afternoon headache but have taken some stuff for it and am hopeful it will not remain. Also, I went to the gym before work again today!

I ran a 5k on the treadmill yesterday, and I'm currently sitting here trying to convince myself to get up and go do something for 30 mintues. I was thinking speed drills or a quick mile run followed by lots of walking with hand weights.

Done! Did 30 minutes of the weightloss program on my treadmill. Good program, I'll probably use it again. But their idea of level 1 is pretty extreme since it assumes that you can run at a 5.5 for your fastest, and walk at a 3.5 for your slowest. I would have liked a all walking version of this for when I'm not able to run for some reason.

Physically fatigued - the difference between my usual 9 water aerobics classes per week and 10, is that I forego a day of rest.

Even so. I am mellow after a terrific dinner, and now we are djing in the sunroom.

Hopefully you're not keeping up the breakneck pace on the water aerobics. You need that day to recover!

I love that you have a sunroom at all, and especially that you were DJing in it.

My usual way is to teach 3 classes a day on M, W, F - when I sub for someone else that adds in the extra day. But fortunately I'm done subbing for a while unless an emergency comes up :)

We love our sunroom, and our house. But we would still leave it with no regrets in order to live somewhere more congenial.

I am neck deep in a member drive. There are big changes coming to my department and am somewhat concerned how those are going to play out. I've been tempering that feeling by spending time with friends and doing the things I enjoy. Work balance, it's a tough one these days.

I always think of you and feel for you when the member drive comes around. (And, I confess, I then avoid the fund drive, because I'm already a sustaining member...)

I hope things shake out okay for you at work, and that you're able to give yourself some quality time at home.

Thanks!

I can't blame you for tuning out, don't tell anyone but I do too! I think that in the long run the change will be mostly good for our membership. I havne't decided how it might effect me but I have options open to me or at least I feel like I do.
