It really sucks, a lot, that the very last words on the MN application for a marriage license are to affirm that "one of us is a man and one of us is a woman". Way to sour that part of the process there, Minnesota.

Exactly. I think the entire marriage debate should be shifted to "get the government out of the marriage business, period." It would be funny if it weren't sad that people who think they're in favor of small government favor this kind of absurd intrusion.
