Wedding dress in progress pictures

For those who care to see a bunch of pictures of the progress I've made on sewing my wedding dress so far, I made a gallery here. The short dress part is almost done! The long overskirt part, I haven't even started yet. I guess that's a project for this weekend...

Holy crap that is awesome! How is the rest of the skirt gonna go? What color also? You said overskirt, not underskirt?

Also, if you could make your over/under/whatever skirt removable, or a separate piece, that blue dress alone would be GREAT for nights out or formal events - I love the blue under the embroidered chiffon/organza/???.

The deal with the overskirt + dress is that I couldn't decide whether I wanted a long dress with a train or a short dress, so I decided to have both! So the skirt will be a long one with a train (white with a contrasting train that matches the short dress - blue with sheer overlay). And I'll wear the long skirt for the ceremony, and then take it off for the reception so I can dance in the short dress!
