In a few hours, I'm going to take the train up to NYC for a mini-high school reunion, with about 20 of my classmates and their SOs. Some of the people who will be there, I haven't seen in 14 years. I'm excited, but I'm also nervous...

If we have time while we're in New York, we're going to take place in the MP3 experiment. If we do, I'll tell you all about it later.

A handful - maybe 10 of the 80-some total in my class? I'm not sure how many, but I know some of these folks are making longer trips than I am.

That sounds like fun. I was sad that my high school didn't have a ten year reunion and is unlikely to have a 15 (though given that I'm over 1000 miles away, I'm certainly not going to plan one). The ten year for college was fantastic.

It's around 8,300 miles to my high school, but people were willing to come to NYC for this... which was cool.

The MP3 experiment looks rather entertaining. At the same time, there is something creepy about it. All those people doing exactly the same thing at the same time. Almost a Wrinkle in Time kind of effect. It had to be strange as could be to be one of the people there that wasn't involved and had no idea what was going on.

Yeah, that was the intent, in many ways. Unfortunately because it was a misty, slightly rainy day, there were very few non-participants on the island. Oh well!

Also, it was not perfectly synchronized by any means... but I'm sure it still would have been weird to see.
