figment: A treewoman, a dryad, her arms are branches (xmas)

Since I already have my two front teeth, I figured I'd take advantage of my brain-dead day home sick and tell you what I'd like to receive.
I updated my Amazon wish list.
Other than that, I would like:
Visits!!
Socks, especially "trouser socks" and fuzzy warm socks.
Help with my serger. (Okay, so some of these requests are unlikely to be fulfilled.)
An external hard drive for my computer. (My computer is an iBook G4, not that that should matter too much.)
Food-type gifts (nice cheese, nice olive oil, nice vinegar, etc.).
Some sort of automatic pet feeder. It would be nice if, when we go for a short trip, we could have 1/4 C of food dispensed twice a day and not have to get cat-sitters - or worry about the cats gorging themselves on the food we leave out. I guess we'd need two. I'm not sure which is the best kind. Honestly it would probably make our lives happier on a daily basis, too, if it prevented the cats from whining at us every morning... I would also happily accept suggestions/recommendations so I can buy my own.
Fun games for two or more people. Flux would be cool. You should probably check with [livejournal.com profile] azure_armand on what we already have.
SCUBA stuff. A dive computer, dive slate, gift certificates towards a computer or wet suit, er, that sort of thing. (I have only the minimal accessory stuff: mask, fins, snorkel, bag, boots, gloves. And of course the waterproof case for my camera - I have that.)
Gift cards for sewing stores (hancock/joann/good online stores)

ETA: I should note that I would also appreciate "social conscience", fair trade, or alternative gifts. If it supports a cause you think I'd like, I'd appreciate a gift that made a difference for someone else. The World Wildlife Fund, Women For Women International, Oxfam, Peace Brigades International, 10,000 Villages, Co2Balance, etc. - there are more good causes out there than I can ever donate to.

"Some sort of automatic pet feeder."

I would worry about trusting those.

I would too; but if I tested it on a week when we were home... and it's not like I wouldn't have cat-sitters, but right now the arrangment is: dump a lot of food into the cat bowls before we leave; the first couple of days the cats are alone; a cat sitter comes by once every two or three days and adds more food and stuff. The cats inevitably stuff their faces and I worry that then they are hungry. This seems like it would be better (if it worked).

Thanks! I hope so too.

Also - I have a special gift request for you - I want to go on a SCUBA trip with you and M! That's what I want for Yule! (Even if it's delayed.)

How about an automatic people feeder that dispenses 1/4 cup of nice cheese per day? What do you say to a nice bit of Wensleydale?

Tasty!! Not as versatile as regular peanut butter but very fun. Thank you again!
