figment: Photo of my hands & crossed legs (hands)

Embroidery; all done freehand, no patterns.

My first attempt at embroidery in a long time; this is a patch/mini wallet with a neuron embroidered freehand. For [livejournal.com profile] malcubed, a budding neuroscientist.

Attempt #2 at embroidery. For [livejournal.com profile] rosencrantz319, who collects patches, and has recently had some trouble with arrhythmia.

Pocket, for when [livejournal.com profile] gunn has none and doesn't want to carry a purse.
It straps on to the arm/leg with velcro straps, and is big enough for ID/key/money. Button/loop closure.

Fuzzy die pincushion (just for me)
I was inspired by [livejournal.com profile] elfie_elfie's beehive and wanted a new, unique-to-me pincushion. I wanted something with a flat base so it'd sit on my table without being batted off by my cats too easily. I made a block out of foam, and covered it with green fun fur, attached with hot glue. The dots are just small circles cut out of black felt and glued on. The loop it's suspended by is the only part that's sewn. It's already in use as a pincushion, if you look closely you will see pins and needles in it!

Okay, I couldn't really picture it when you were talking about the embroidered heart. But now I see it and it's awesome!

Wow, cool! I love all of them, especially the pincushion. You need a little ten-sided emery die for sharpening. :)

Wow

You are quite industrious. I really like the pocket idea. As a person that feels naked without pockets, I'm glad there's a non-sartorial alternative for the less pocket-centric that still allows the wearing of skirts / dresses / etc. so often responsible for this dilemma. Nice work.

Boy, I'd better get crackin'.
