NYC weekend
Sep. 28th, 2008 07:08 pmI'm glad I went to the reunion thingy. It was good to see my classmates, and although some bits were slightly strange, overall it was just good to see these people who I hadn't seen in so long. It was kinda weird, how much we all both had and hadn't changed. Most people were really pretty much the same looking...mostly.
The next day, we had a slow morning at my cousin's place. Then we headed off to Governor's Island and we did the mp3 thing. (I tried texting-to-lj about it, but I guess it didn't work.) Wow - it was amazing! ( cut to not spoil in case anyone in San Francisco plans to do this on Oct. 4, or Chicago on Oct. 5 )
That night we had a delicious dinner with my cousins L & C, their respective husbands P & S, and the two kids N & C. It was low-key and pleasant and really all we could have hoped for - it would have been impossible to maintain the level of hilarity from the mp3 thing and this was really nice. We all stayed up late talking and drinking.
Had breakfast this morning and then took the bus from Chinatown back to DC. Man, I love the Chinatown buses.
My pictures from the mp3 experiment are now on Flickr.
