As Azure said, we didn't get to see everyone, but we did really enjoy the people we saw, and we got to see a lot of you. There was a lot of fun, there were gatherings larger and smaller, people made a lot of efforts to come out and see us, we got to go to some fabulous parties, we accomplished some necessary stuff for wedding planning... I missed my own family, but had good times with Azure's family, and lots of quality friend time. Thanks to everyone who hosted us or took time to hang out with us. Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] spacebug and [livejournal.com profile] s4 who loaned us their car! I miss all of you guys already.

I didn't make any resolutions last year, but this year it seems appropriate. So, in no particular order, I resolve to:
* do my best to minimize the stress of an impending move, job hunt, and wedding, and survive all three with my sanity and relationships intact.
* go back to the gym and get my body and knees back into shape, such that I can do another triathlon.
* make the most of the time I have where I am, and with the people I'm with.
Those three really cover most of the important things I want this year to hold. Here's hoping I can achieve them all!

If you have an specific strategies for minimizing stress, I'd love to hear about them. I don't have plans for such big things as you, but sometimes I feel my stress-handling skills could be way better.

I don't have much to recommend right now, but I will certainly pass tips along as I develop them. For now, my strategy is to (1) plan and make lists, (2) remind myself that most of the stress will be over in eight months or so, (3) take time to do the things that make me not stressy, like work out, cook, get massages, have fun, etc.

The meta-strategy is perspective.
