So lj has closed down its US office. http://www.dailydot.com/news/livejournal-shut-down-us-office/

Not sure what that means for any of you, my friends, but I will say that I enjoy the customer service I get from Dreamwidth. I'll continue to mirror posts between livejournal and dreamwidth for as long as that is feasible.

They bought it, yes, but now it seems to have really been taken over by Russians. I have a few Russian-language communties in my feed, and they are all I ever see anymore. (Which is even more fun when those get taken over by Russian porn spammers.)

I've never had to resort to customer service on any blog site. It will be interesting to see if this has any bearing on those who have.
