figment: A treewoman, a dryad, her arms are branches (party)

Boy, it was fun going to MN for [livejournal.com profile] fayde's bachelorette party. I like being a good surprise. All praise to [livejournal.com profile] xatharine for making me realize I could totally fly out for a single day if I wanted to. And all credit to [livejournal.com profile] sweetiepie32 for organizing and decorating and cooking for the dinner/majority of the party.

I feel like I just got to do most of the things I really like to do, this weekend. I got to spend time with [livejournal.com profile] fayde and Gen and [livejournal.com profile] xatharine. I got to decorate and hang out and laugh and eat and tell stories. I got to get tarted up and go to Ground Zero and dance until I hurt. This morning I cured my hangover with a couple of Advil and a half an hour playing in the water park at the Depot, the hotel we stayed at. That was the Best Hangover Cure Ever. (Wonder Twin Powers, activate!) And then brunch at the Seward, which if I'd still had a hangover would have also been a good cure. Although the unpardonable delay in producing [livejournal.com profile] xatharine and [livejournal.com profile] fayde's orders would have been even worse to deal with, had I been feeling hangover-y...

No, I didn't tell anyone I was going. If I did it wouldn't have been a surprise for [livejournal.com profile] fayde! And I didn't have time to do anything but the party, anyway. I'll be there again next weekend, for the wedding, arriving late Thursday night and leaving on Sunday. I think we might have time to do something during the day on Friday, if anyone wants; the rehearsal is not until 4 or 5 or 6 PM, so um, yes, time before that.

Short trips have their virtues, which is mainly that they're better than no trip at all. And man, that was a really quality 24 hours.

So does that mean I could monopolize your lunch next Friday?

Unless Joe's Mom calls it, yeah, that'd be nice. I'll let you know. :-)

Cool,
I'll start compiling a list of places we could go.

One important question though. Do you wish to touch my Monkey?

If Joe's Mom calls it, I'm totally crashing that scene!

All right - I think we are on for lunch. I tried to email you to work out details (I have a proposal which involves lunching in St. Paul so that I can also see the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] spacebug) but I do not know if I have your right email address. (I have a yahoo one for you.) So email me if you don't see it... figment at gmail.

Oh, also, is that why you named your dog Monkey? Heh. I bet.

I would enjoy meeting Monkey but I don't know if it'll work on this trip.

She came from NLGA with the name Monkey and we just decided not to change it.

However far be it from me not to utilize such comic gold when it is dropped in my lap.

Saw the email and replied. So long as we can shoehorn lunch to allow for my con calls and the drive to St Paul life is nifty.
