figment: A treewoman, a dryad, her arms are branches (now_what?)

I haven't posted much lately because life has been so busy. In brief:
Family wedding, last Saturday
- [livejournal.com profile] jgs42 & R arrived Wednesday night
- Took Thursday and Friday off work
- This meant I worked extra long hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Lots of time at the zoo, mostly
- Nice to see family, including many small cousin-lets
- BBQ and wedding and brunch, holy family time batman!
- I apparently look so much like my cousin who got married that people got confused between us regularly (mistook me for her)
- Beautiful weather, nice wedding, etc.

Work
- Has been eating me alive
- Combination of end of fiscal year and end of school year exhausting
- I made a pretty big mistake and have spent all week trying to fix it
- My boss is supportive but I am really disappointed in myself and no, I'm not giving details here because they're confidential and it's boring

Other
- uhh. There has been no "other". Except to say that [livejournal.com profile] azure_armand has been great about supporting me when I'm stressed and also being willing to be bombarded by all of my many, many relatives.
- Oh yeah. And I'm going to see Spider-man tonight!

(there aren't many people who know the both of us, but the ones that do have walked right up to me and said "hi char!")

Another good way to relieve stress is to go without pants (http://www.nopantsday.com/) for a day. :)

I hate when I do that, especially with the financial stuff. Its amazing how easily one can cause epically unreversable changes.

what did ya think of spider-man?

Thanks to my human relations class I had some real critiques...for the audience.

Because a woman kisses someone else does not make her a 'whore'.

Yeah. Somehow putting a big price tag on it makes it all the worse, also. :-P

*blink blink* That was what your class said? Woah.
It did, however, indicate Peter Parker being an asshole.

I dunno what I thought about the movie. It was fun, and I'm glad I saw it in a theater and on opening night just because it was fun. But I don't think it was as good as the previous two. I think they were trying to fit too much into it and also the extensive Spidey-asshole sequence eventually was just painful to watch.

Hey, did you ever get my email about visiting?

Yeah, we're trying to work out the $$$.
I of course will keep you updated!

The class didn't say that, it was the movie theater's response. The midnight showing I went to had a lot of audience participation.

I think I agree with you on the cramming too much in for one movie.
