I confess: I spent more time and energy preparing Valentine's Day things for my supervisees and co-workers than I did for my boyfriend. I baked them cookies and got them cards and made them lunch. And it felt really good to take a moment to tell these people that they are special and make my work-life way better.
I did have a nice time with Azure today, too; it was mostly like many days we have, but we got to spend some extra time together due to him having a snow day and me... well, me having half a sick day. We had a blast at a burlesque show tonight, which we attended with friends C&J - it was really a fun time and a good show. We didn't choose to go to the show because of the day; it just happened that tonight was when the show was playing.
Anyway. I hope you all had a lovely day, whether you were or were not celebrating any holidays. Try not to be obnoxious about either your happiness or your annoyance, okay?
Later, I should tell you about how much fun it was to have
xatharine here. She is, sadly for her, still stuck in DC (stupid ice storm). But for now, it's time for me to head to bed. I'm trying to beat a cold.
