It wouldn't be CONvergence without me being up until midnight, frantically sewing, would it?

...and I'm not quite done yet. I am wondering if they will let me do hand sewing on the plane, or if that's a threatening, scary activity. I didn't bring scissors, just a teeny seam ripper to cut thread.

I need some sparkly blue tights. Or shiny blue tights. I used to have a pair but they are long gone. And I need a bunch of AA batteries. Other than that... I think I packed everything. I'll go home briefly before I head to the airport today.

Azure left this morning. I have not heard anything from him yet but hope that means he's fine. Be nice to him 'til I get there.

I've done hand-sewing on a plane. The seam riper and needles weren't a problem. This in 2003 or so.

I've heard you could use a dental floss despenser to cut your thread. I even suspect that diehard sewers load a bobbin into the despenser.

A pattern? Heavens no. Far too much work. I will buy a pair for $5 at Sox etc. or someplace like that. (I mean like-nylons tights, not ren-garb tights.)
