My job seems to be going relatively well. I still am learning (oh boy am I ever!) but I feel like I'm making progress. My scary meeting today went well. I have made headway in a few areas and even got some stuff done on a big work project that is due fairly soon. ... And today was nice because there was some free lunch, and there was a lovely compliment from my Very Cheerful Professor (I want to be on the drugs she's on!), and two people I now work closely with told me that they were impressed with how well I was doing. That made me positively glow.

A Very Important Work Question has come up. For a bulletin board at work with the CTE staff members on it, we have a superhero theme. For example, my boss has chosen to be Samurai Jack. There's a picture of him, and a picture of Samurai Jack in the background, and then the copy reads something like, "Samurai Jack by night, by day John R brings his sense of honor and razor-sharp wit to every corner of CTE..." You get the idea. There is no particular theme within the superhero theme - some people are X men and some are Marvel and some are DC. The only other woman on the board chose Elektra, so that one's out. So it's time for me to pick a superhero...

What superhero should I be? Give me suggestions!

My job has to do with money/budgets, marketing, and making nice with lots of university people. But the superhero doesn't really have to match any of that.

Some female superheroes/villains -

Mystique (X-Men) - power is changing her appearance
Rogue (X-Men) - power is absorbing other people's powers
Jean Grey/Phoenix (X-Men) - telepathy, telekinesis
Storm (X-Men) - weather control
Wonder Woman
Batgirl
Sue Richards, the Invisible Girl (Fantastic 4)
Poison Ivy (Batman) - power has to do with growing plants
Kitty Pryde (X-Men) - has the power to become insubstantial
Psylocke (X-Men)

let me know if you want more on anyone.

Oracle, aka Barbara Gordon, is an information, computer, financial, and tactical genius. She is the information broker for the Justice League. She used to be Batgirl. She has mentored the new Batgirl. She leads Birds of Prey. She is a master of various martial arts (from a wheelchair, at that.)

She wears glasses, has red hair, is geeky, is very snarky, very motivated, and a total hottie.

I might have a weensy crush on a fictional character, yes, so, what's yer point?

Anyway. She would be a good fit with your budget/marketing/university stuff.

Maggie (http://www.hoppers13.com/love/comics/love05a.jpg) from Love and Rockets. She was totally punk rock. And a hottie.

Or, Tank Girl.

I don't suppose you fancy being Aeon Flux.

I liked the Tank Girl idea...though Jet Girl might be more appropriately studious.

Thoughts in no particular order of relevance or appropriateness(references after names if they don't directly match the title)
Buffy
Kabuki
Malaka Fray (Future Vampire slayer)
Wonder Woman
All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
Mrs. Incredible
Violet Incredible
Shi
Witchblade
Mina Harker(I think. The broad from League of Extrordinary Gentleman)
Death (Gaiman's)

This would be easier if you had asked for a super villain.

Jean Grey would be great with her incredible telekinetic powers.

Xat says you should be Black Canary or Super Girl. I liked the Psylock suggestion for sentamental resons. I also like the idea of Bat Girl (no super powers, just super cool) or Cat Woman (good or evil?, you decide). Raven (from Teen Tians)? or any of the Power Puff Girls (I'm sure Xat and I would love to see you as Buttercup).

Congratulations on the job.

I got from India end of March.
The ayurvedic treatment I received REALLY helped me.

So much so that when I got back to the USA I was able to land a job in Africa for this year !!!!
Can't wait to go back there.
When do you graduate ?
