I guess it depends on whether you're wanting it to be a communal activity or one where you're really pushing yourself to see what your limits are!
If you're specifically wanting it to be an experience that you're sharing with K (and that isn't a bad thing, necessarily), then I'd go with the slower time...although if she's faster than you on the bike, she may leave you in the dust anyway! If you're wanting to see how fast YOU can do the triathlon, I'd be honest about your time.
