Work has been okay this week. Because the crisis is done, I admit I am now having a slightly hard time motivating myself to do the everyday stuff. But today was better, and perhaps the next day will be better yet. I always feel much better about my job when I'm getting stuff done.
I need to become better at delegating things, though. Both choosing to delegate things, and finding good tasks for other people.

SCUBA class tonight; the next-to-last one before the open water dives. I can't believe I'm going to be diving outside in colder weather than this. Crazy! Umm, let's see, tonight we did our second swimming test (tread water for 10 minutes). We did a controlled emergency swimming ascent. We reviewed some other stuff like mask clearing and regulator recovery. We did an, er, I can't remember the name of the entry but the one where you basically just tip backwards into the water. (I've done that one before, from a boat, and I actually think it's really easy.) We climbed out of the pool via the ladder with all of our stuff on and WOW, that air cylinder has never felt heavier. Oof.

Between SCUBA, and belly dance class last night, I am pooped. Utterly. Also, my leg muscles are slightly sore.

I think we have no plans for tomorrow night, which is probably good. I need to work on my SRP MA thesis-thingy. I have decided I will finish it by December 15th.

I also have to call the dentist tomorrow. I found a few possible ones today but of course by the time I found them their offices were all closed.

Here it's called a Substantial Research Paper, abbreviated SRP - but most people don't know what that is so I call it my mini-thesis or something like that.

Oh oh oh! I could use a trip to the dentist. Can you help me find out the prices for stuff? The regular insurance doesn't cover it at all.

Uhh, I'll help as I can! I do have insurance so I'm not sure how useful I will be, but I'm willing to try.

Roll Back Entry. Or Rolling Back Entry. Sounds like everything is going well!

As foir the cold water, you'll have the perfect opportunity to do what I do; swear forcefully.

Right. Rolling Back Entry, and Swearing Forcefully: two SCUBA skills I will have mastered in a few short weeks.

...I need a SCUBA icon for myself.

Good luck with the SRP stuff! Let me know when you finish it and we'll have a "I'm done with my SRP" party.

After it's been accepted, pile up the drafts and get a match. : )

You call that cold?

You could come back this-a-way, and then you could practice shivering forcefully in 20 degree air after your dive.

It is not cold enough for me to gripe about walking around in it, but I don't see you SCUBA-diving for hours in your weather, mister!

Well, yeah.
