Mar. 5th, 2006 09:11 pmSo, as
azure_armand noted, we made it back to DC safely.
This trip to Minneapolis was such an emotional and intense one. To be sure, I was sad for a lot of it, and there was a bittersweet quality that touched much of the happiness. Some of the fun had a bit of frantic to it, an attempt to lose the sadness, leave it behind in a manic whirl. But there was real happiness, and real fun. It was great to spend time with other people who loved
jcoppercorn, and I think in the end that this trip was a good Rachel memorial, for me. I did not really spend any time with people who were not of one of her circles. Although a part of me is sad for this (I would have liked to have seen
kaulis and wished him a happy birthday), I feel like it's fitting. And I know I'll be back in April; that will be a different trip and I will probably get to see some of those other people.
I am exhausted, and I have a lot of homework to do; I'm further behind than ever. I'll manage somehow, though. And I have no regrets about spending these last several days as I did.
