figmentWe made another super-fast trip last weekend to the Cities. It was such a short trip that we didn't tell anyone we were coming, and if we didn't see you at the wedding we were there for, we didn't see you. C'est la vie. The wedding was nice, we did get to see some of our excellent collection of friends, and travel both there and back was smooth.
It was a mistake, though, to think I could go to work on Monday afternoon when I arrived at my apartment around noon that day. Not smart. So I worked from home (and Sticky Fingers) instead. That was good.
Today was my Monday, then. And it was way too busy. I spent two hours with a professor's class on global and environmental politics; it was interesting but I really didn't have the two hours to spare. Erghghh. Tomorrow I will spend all day at various meetings and events. I can't get out of them and they're important, but that does mean - ding! - I will get no desk-type work done tomorrow. Which means it will all wait for me to do it the next day...
As a result, I'm stressed and crabby. Dinner, Smallville, and beer have calmed me down and I hope I sleep better tonight than I did last night.
