DC Quarter - No Taxation Without Representation

The DC quarter design was rejected because it includes the phrase "No Taxation Without Representation". Apparently, this phrase is not one of which "the entire Nation can be proud". Well, I think that while the Nation (why the capital N?) should not be proud of the fact that DC residents are disenfranchised and unrepresented in government, we should certainly be given the right to express this on our quarter.

For more than 200 years, the residents of DC having been living without full democracy, relegated to the status of second-class citizens. Is it really too much to ask that we get to use our own quarter to remind America of this?

I tell ya, now you uppity non-state people in DC are getting a quarter as well? I thought only us first calls citizens that lived in states got to be proud of where we live by having a quarter made.

I also get really angry that the voting age isn't lower. Teenagers work and pay taxes and can't vote. Furthermore, if they get permission from their guardian they can join the Army. If someone can die for this country they should be able to vote for its leaders.
