Uh. They complained because of a lack of cookies. This may be my PMS talking, but if that's your screwup this week? That's tiny, and not worthy of messing up your relaxation day. Roll your eyes. You didn't miss your orientation that you were supposed to teach and 6 professors didn't get cookies. Doesn't sound like you're irresponsible to me.
