It was a really good weekend, and I feel so much more like myself than I have in a while. So I should journal about that, not just the bad stuff!

On Friday, I went to an art opening at the Walker with Joe and Starfive. It was for a graphic design exhibit (the exhibit is cool, I encourage you to check it out if you find things like fonts, colors, infographics, and interactive design interesting). The art opening was totally fun - much more fun than I thought it would be!
One part of it was colors - the promo for the event encouraged you to "dress in your favorite Pantone color" - and then they had a photo booth with giant Pantone color chips for you to take pictures with. So first we took a photo with matchy color chips:

And then mixed it up: WRONG COLORS!! So confusing!

On Saturday, we took care of stuff at home, got groceries, were slothful and enjoyed time together, and made costumes for Jarrin's early-Halloween party. This time it was themed "Seuss Noir".
Joe went as the Wocket in my pocket guy:

so we made him a Wocket, and then also made him a
Nooth Grush on a toothbrush

and a Yottle in a Bottle

Me, I was Foona Lagoona Baboona, from the Sleep Book

The party was fun; I loved several of the costumes I saw and really appreciated the Truffula Trees that were part of the decor.

Sunday we went out to brunch at Luce, and I did some creative sewing just for fun. And I made chili and polenta, this time with Parmesan cheese in it. Yum.
