The advice may be all right (for people hiring who are concerned with people lying on their resumes, LinkedIn pages, etc.) but I have some major "issues", with this person's, "overuse" of commas, and "abuse" of punctuation in general.

If you are, "The hiring body," for a company, do some due diligence before calling someone in for an interview! I hate to say this, but you have to, these days! If you are, "Intrigued with a resume," research that work history, research those companies, and check the, "Public Criminal Records," for the town of those specified companies.......Find out if your, "Ideal Candidate," has a public criminal record in that town that they worked in. Perhaps that's why they, "Really lost their last job!"

Now, if you are concerned about what people post on their Linked In Page, regarding their, "Previous Work History with your firm," I would politely ask them to remove the fluff. If they are contrite with you about this issue, Karma will be their doom! Don't waste your time with them, [name].

A smart company would contact you, "Regarding their work history," before they moved forward with a hiring goal. Remember, I mentioned, "A smart company." If not, that candidate will end up, "Not living up to prior expectations," and they'll burn their bridge!

That's the fun part of, "Human Resources," that they don't tell you about in college! LOL

May I, "confess," that I "don't really," understand what "this person," is "saying."?!

Wow, even I had a hard time with that, and I'm not the best with punctuation. Their advice also bothers me. Why not just say "Verify a person work history and references." Nothing more really needs to be said.
