random bits

The good news-the very good news-is that my elbow is healing well and I can take off the splint when I want to. The bad news is that it will take around six weeks for me to regain full range of motion without pain.

I'm traveling tomorrow, and I wonder how insane it will be, flying on September 11. It will also be somewhat annoying, I'm sure, managing my bags with only one arm.

Work is being reorganized a little. It shouldn't affect my job too much... but it is giving me more work to do.

How tight is your connection, are you in a hurry when you get off the plane, and how awful would it be if your stuff didn't make it? I don't know if you normally check bags, but this seems like a prime time to do so.

good call - I will check my bag even though I normally wouldn't. And hope.

Tomorrow the TSA will go to RED threat level, in memory of those who lost their lives in 9/11/01. While you wait an hour and change in your security line, use this time to reflect and memorialize the tragic loss this country suffered. And when you are pulled out of the security line for extra screening because of the quarter you forgot in your left pocket that set off the metal detector, take heart that the Transportation Security Agency is doing all it can to prevent future catastrophes.

Sweet deal about only needing a splint. I think I would go crazy with the itchies if I had to wear a full cast! and the smellies.
