Reception venues

All right, Twin Citians: what are some cool places to have a reception?

Any suggestion is welcome, but if more details help:
- 150 people, probably
- dancing is a must, band is not required
- must be legal to have alcohol there
- will be at night (8 PM or later)
- bonus points for artsy, off-beat, etc.

The main food limitation is that it be possible to have vegan food. I think most caterers should be able to do that, but that does render some places rather inappropriate for the reception... y'know, like a steakhouse.

Also, thank you.

This list is from Minnesota Bride's Best of 2007 list. I can't speak to the availability of vegan food from this list... which is even bigger than I remember.

I can try to pare it down based on my own judgement of arty/off-beat, and they have a price rating of $-$$$$, with one being economical, and four being posh.

Did you want me to just send you photocopies of the full list? I may be able to scan it to PDF here at work, too.

Whichever takes less time for you -- either looking through it yourself and picking off-beat ones, or sending me photocopies or scans of the full list. I'll email you my address in case you don't have it.

Thank you so much!
