Edward Scissorhands

I scored some super-cheap, last-minute tickets, so Azure and I and our friend C went to see a dance performance of Edward Scissorhands. Did you know they'd done a dance adaptation of it? I didn't. I had no idea what to expect.

I loved it. It was magical. The sets were amazing, the costumes perfect, the dancing emotive, and the music excellent. If you get the chance - and it will be at the Ordway in St. Paul in April - you should see it. Especially [livejournal.com profile] windelina, of course.

I'm having crazy thoughts of visiting D.C. for a weekend, possibly March 2-4. Would you be around? Interested in grabbing dinner or something? It's not for sure yet; I'm still in the exploratory stages...

I'll definitely be around; my brother is moving here on March 2! So um, yes, dinner or something would be great. Keep me posted.

hi there! yeah, i dragged matt and dick and another matt to see it last winter when we were in london. they were all pretty skeptical when they belatedly learned it was a dance performance, but at the end, all agreed: fantastic! i'm so glad it's gone to the u.s.!!! totally worthwhile experience!
